About me

Hello, I'm Emily! I’m a British Wheel of Yoga trained yoga teacher with a background in education and a lifelong interest in science, movement and health. I have first-hand experience of how yoga can help create a more balanced life - using mindful movement has helped me manage the physical and emotional stresses of work, parenthood and the everyday in a healthy way.

Using my teaching experience and knowledge of yoga I lead friendly and supportive classes that help you to enjoy these health and well-being benefits too.

About hatha yoga

The style of Yoga that I love to teach is ‘Hatha’ with some elements of ‘Vinyasa’. Hatha yoga classes typically involve a set of physical ‘asana postures’ (yoga poses) and breathing techniques focused on balancing the body and mind.

 

When poses flow from one to the next without pausing, this is called Vinyasa.

 

Hatha yoga is an inclusive practice that allows for differing abilities and experience levels. Many poses can be adapted or extended so all participants – whether beginners or more experienced - can enjoy the many benefits yoga has to offer.
